In midsummer, pale lavender flowers marked with a darker lavender center rise on scapes up to about 2 feet. The leaf surface is matte with a waxy coating. The plant forms an upright, fountain-like clump about 15 inches tall and 15 inches wide. In midsummer, scapes 12 to 24 inches tall carry pale lavender trumpet flowers with a darker lavender pattern in the center of each petal.
