Keep it honest

The rules, the short version

They keep every post true to what the farm can promise, and keep you on the right side of the disclosure rules.

  • Say it in every post, in the post itself: #ad · Great Lakes Lavender Farm partner (or "#ad"; "#gifted" for gifted plants). A bio link alone isn't enough.
  • Talk about scent, the farm and how you use it. Never say lavender helps with sleep, stress, anxiety, pain or healing.
  • Show plants as they really arrive: plugs and small pots are young plants, not full bushes. Say your growing zone and how they did for you.
  • Live plants: mention the ship windows and that plants in soil can't ship to every state. Bare root ships everywhere.
  • Don't promise shipping or arrival dates.
  • No coupon or cashback sites, no posting your code on code lists, and no search ads on our name.
  • Use your own code and link only. Your own orders don't earn (that's self-referral). One partner per order: a code used at checkout wins.
  • Cottage food (baked goods, syrups, drink mixes) never earns, may only be mentioned to Michigan audiences, and only the farm can sell it.
  • One level only: nobody earns for signing up other partners.

Questions

Good to know

Who can be an ambassador?
Anyone 18 or older in the United States with a place they share: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, Pinterest, a blog or a website. Big or small audiences are welcome.
How do I get paid?
Earnings wait about 30 days after an order ships (refunds and cancellations take them back). Then they're paid as store credit at any amount, or by PayPal or Venmo once you're owed $50.00 or more.
What does my audience get?
10% off eligible items on their first order with your code, and a bigger discount on the season's products during a push.
What isn't included?
Cottage food, gift cards, the ministry donation, services, shipping and tax don't earn. Your own orders don't earn either.
Do purchases in the apps count?
Yes. You earn 10% of what the farm keeps on the apps' digital items (the Supporter Pass, game sponsorship and add-ons, listing upgrades, ad spots, stamps and paintings), bought in the phone apps or on the website, within 30 days of using your link or code. Subscriptions earn on every payment for their first 12 months. Tickets and bookings earn a share of the farm's booking fee only, never the ticket money that goes to the host.
How do I get a Share the Lavender code?
Place an order and your code appears here when you're signed in. Friends get $10.00 off a first order of $40.00 or more, and you get $10.00 in store credit once it clears.
Do ambassadors get early access to seasonal launches?
Yes, once you've earned it: after 3 orders from your link or code, you can order each season's products early when you're signed in, the same early window Lavender Passport members get. It isn't automatic when you join, and plants keep their own pre-order dates.
Can I be in more than one program?
Yes. Ambassadors still collect Lavender Rewards points on their own orders and keep their friend code.
