The Seed
Jesus explained that the seed is the Word of God. Scripture, not our brand, remains at the center.
Luke 8:11Our mission
Great Lakes Lavender Farm exists to honor Jesus Christ. We grow lavender, create useful goods, serve our neighbors, pray for people, and use a portion of our profits to place the good news of Jesus into hands and hearts wherever God gives us the opportunity.
“Behold, a sower went forth to sow.”Matthew 13:3 · KJV
01 The seed
We believe a farm and a business can become places of ministry. At farmers markets, festivals, community events, through customer orders, and in everyday conversations, we want to point people toward the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Ministry funds help us give away Bibles, Jesus figurines, Christian stickers, Scripture bracelets, and other faith-centered materials. We are also developing lavender-themed Christian products and apparel designed to encourage believers and create natural opportunities to talk about Jesus.
We may never see what happens to every seed. That is not ours to control. We are called to sow faithfully, love people sincerely, speak truth with grace, and trust God for the increase.
“The field is the world.”Matthew 13:38 · KJV
Every event, order, conversation, prayer, gift, and act of kindness can become a place where a seed is sown.
02 The heart of our mission
Our mission is not ultimately about lavender, merchandise, good works, or even the ministry materials themselves. It is about Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, yet God demonstrated His love toward us through Christ. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, rose again, and offers salvation by grace through faith.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.Acts 16:31 · KJV
03 The Parable of the Sower
Jesus explained that the seed is the Word of God. Scripture, not our brand, remains at the center.
Luke 8:11We cannot always see what God has already been doing in someone’s heart before we meet them.
Matthew 13:3–9We can plant and water, but God gives the increase. Ministry is faithfulness before recognition.
1 Corinthians 3:6–7Farming teaches patience. Some seeds emerge quickly; others remain unseen for a season.
Galatians 6:9“He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man.”Matthew 13:37 · KJV
“Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”Galatians 6:7 · KJV
“He that watereth shall be watered also himself.”Proverbs 11:25 · KJV
04 How we sow
Ministry can begin with something as simple as a Bible, a bracelet, a sticker, or a conversation.
Helping people receive Scripture they can read, keep, share, and return to.
Simple reminders of Christ that can lead to meaningful conversations in everyday places.
Wearable Scripture that keeps biblical truth close and makes it easy to share.
Small Gospel-centered messages that travel onto bottles, notebooks, vehicles, and more.
Lavender-themed Christian apparel and products designed to sow seeds beyond the farm.
Praying for customers, growers, families, neighbors, and anyone who asks us to pray.
