We all need a Savior
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23
None of us can earn our way to God by being good enough. We all need mercy.
Plant Matchmaker
Tell us about each growing area: how much sun, how wet the soil stays and your soil pH. We show where lavender will thrive, what to change where it won’t, and the companion plants that fit each spot.
Huckleberry’s tipMost yards have more than one kind of spot. Add your sunny bed first, then the shady or damp corners.
Matches use each plant’s care profile and your answers. Soil tests give the most reliable pH. Looking for everything at once? Browse the Companion Plant Library.
Plan a lavender bed
Lavender loves sun, lean soil and dry feet. Pick your goals and zone, and we match you with plants that like the same life. Then sketch the bed and see the bloom season it gives you.

No companions match all of that
Try removing a goal or choosing “Any color”.
Bed builder
Add companions from the list above. We sort them by height, tall at the back and short at the front, and map when each one flowers.
A layout idea, not to scale. Space lavender 18–36 inches apart depending on type, and keep bushy neighbors from crowding its crown.
Better apart
These are lovely plants, just not good neighbors. They want shade, rich soil or steady water, and lavender suffers when it gets the same care.
How matching works
Full sun, lean soil and little water. Plants with lower water needs score higher.
Perennials outside your zone are flagged. Annuals work anywhere for a season.
Each goal you pick that a plant meets adds to its score, out of 100.
Yes, it is a classic look, but roses want richer soil and more water. Plant lavender at the sunny, dry edge of the bed, outside the rose’s watering zone, and water the roses at their base only.
Leave enough room that no plant leans over the lavender’s crown. Air flow keeps lavender leaves dry and healthy. As a rule, leave half the mature width of each plant between them.
A diverse bed brings in more beneficial insects, but no plant is a guaranteed pest shield. Choose companions for shared conditions and beauty first.
