We recommend reserving about 6 months ahead. You can still request an earlier date.
If your requested date is within 30 days, you pay in full. If it is 31 or more days out, you pay a 50% non-refundable deposit now, and the balance is due two weeks before your ship or pickup date. If we can’t propagate or fill your order, you get everything back, deposit included. Cancellation rules.

Spring plant shipping opens March 1 and runs March–May. Fall plant shipping runs October–November. From June through September 30, live plants are local pickup only because of summer heat and Japanese beetle quarantine rules. From December through February you can request a winter ship date, but winter shipments aren’t covered by Healthy Arrival, Shipping Protection or the Grow Guarantee.
The bare-root shipping window is March 1 – May 31. Bare root is sold in boxes of 25 per variety (25, 50, 75 and so on) for retail and wholesale.
Plants ship UPS only: UPS Ground or UPS 2nd Day Air, chosen at checkout. USPS is used only for regular merchandise. We cannot ship plants to PO Boxes.
Live plants in soil cannot ship to Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah or Washington because of strict plant shipping rules, so they are local pickup only there. Bare-root plants are soil-free and can ship to those states.
