Why this pairing works
Clear cups show off all the layers. Crushed chocolate chip cookies make a crunchy, sandy dirt, and our lavender brownies give the whole thing a deep chocolate base with a floral finish.
Makes 8 cups Prep 25 min Cook 30 min
Ingredients
- 1 bag Lavender Fudge Brownie Mix, baked per package directions and cooled, or 6 farm-stand Lavender Brownies
- 1 box instant chocolate pudding, prepared per its package directions
- 8 Lavender Cookie (Chocolate Chip), crushed into crumbs
- 8 Lavender Cookie (Shortbread), for tombstones
- 1 tube black or chocolate writing gel
- Gummy worms and candy pumpkins, for decorating
Directions
- Cut the cooled brownies into 1-inch cubes.
- Write 'RIP' or silly names on the shortbread cookies with the writing gel. Let them set 10 minutes.
- In 8 clear cups, layer brownie cubes, then pudding, then more brownie and pudding.
- Cover the tops with a thick layer of cookie crumbs.
- Stand a shortbread tombstone in each cup and add gummy worms and candy pumpkins. Chill until serving.
Build the cups up to 4 hours ahead, but add the tombstones and gummy worms right before serving so the cookies stay crisp.
