Why this pairing works
Eggnog is rich and custardy, and hazelnut coffee adds a toasty, nutty depth. Lavender Sugar keeps the sweetness light and floral so the drink never tastes heavy.
Serves 2 Prep 5 min Cook 5 min
Ingredients
- 1 cup Lavender Ground Coffee (Hazelnut), brewed strong
- 1 cup eggnog
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tsp Lavender Sugar, plus more for the rims
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg, freshly grated if you have it
- 2 cinnamon sticks, for stirring
- 2 oz spiced rum or bourbon, optional, adults 21+
Directions
- Brew the coffee strong, about 2 Tbsp grounds per 6 oz water.
- Wet the rims of 2 mugs and dip them in Lavender Sugar.
- Warm the eggnog, milk and 2 tsp Lavender Sugar in a small pan over medium-low heat, whisking, until steaming. Don't let it boil.
- Froth with a whisk or handheld frother. Divide the coffee between the mugs (adults 21+ can add 1 oz rum or bourbon to each) and pour the eggnog over.
- Dust with nutmeg and add a cinnamon stick.
Eggnog can scorch or curdle if it boils. Keep the heat low and whisk the whole time.
Serve it with: Lavender Cookie (Shortbread)
Make it your own
- Use Vanilla Lavender coffee for a sweeter, softer latte.
- Skip the coffee for kids and top warm eggnog with whipped cream.
