Midnight Blue Raspberry Lavender Sparkler
On this page
A deep midnight blue drink with a sugar-sparkle rim and a rock candy stirrer: it looks like the New Year's Eve sky in a glass. Everyone gets a festive flute, and grown-ups can top theirs with bubbly.

Why this pairing works
Blue raspberry is bright and sweet-tart, and lavender gives it a grown-up floral finish. The rock candy slowly adds sweetness as it dissolves, so the last sip is as good as the first.
Serves 8 Prep 10 min + 1 hr freezing Cook 0 min
Ingredients
- 1 pouch Lavender Blue Raspberry Gourmet Drink Mix, enough for the amount the package makes
- Still water and sparkling water, half and half, in place of the water on the package
- 1 cup fresh blueberries, frozen
- 2 Tbsp Lavender Sugar, for the rims
- 1 Tbsp white or silver sprinkles, optional, for the rims
- 8 Lavender Rock Candy
- 8 Lavender Cocktail Picks, for garnish
- 1 bottle sparkling wine or prosecco, chilled, optional, adults 21+
Directions
- Freeze the blueberries on a tray for at least 1 hour. They become little ice cubes that won't water the drinks down.
- Dissolve the drink mix in the still water portion, stirring until clear, then chill until very cold.
- Mix the Lavender Sugar and sprinkles on a plate. Wet the rims of 8 flutes with a little water and dip them in the sugar.
- Drop a few frozen blueberries into each glass, fill halfway with the blue raspberry base and top with sparkling water (or sparkling wine for adults 21+).
- Add a rock candy stirrer and a lavender pick, then raise a glass at midnight.
Pour the bubbles last and slowly, down the side of the glass. Build each drink right before serving so the fizz lasts until the countdown.
Make it your own
- Swap in Lavender Grape Gourmet Drink Mix for a deep purple version.
- Freeze some of the prepared drink in star-shaped ice molds.
