Made for the water
Waterproof vinyl is the right choice for anything that gets splashed, rained on or tossed in the bottom of a boat. On a kayak or paddleboard, choose a smooth, flat area away from where you grip or kneel, and apply it on a dry day when the surface is at room temperature. Curved bottles take a smaller size more neatly than a big one.
Applying it right
- Wash the surface, then wipe it with rubbing alcohol to remove oils and wax.
- Let it dry completely.
- Peel the backing and place one edge first.
- Smooth across with your thumb or a card, pressing firmly as you go.
- Let it set for a day before a swim, a wash or a road trip.

Will it survive a car wash?
Waterproof vinyl handles rain and washing well once it has fully set. Give it a day after applying before it sees high-pressure water.
Can I remove it later?
Peel slowly from a corner. Warming it a little with a hair dryer helps it lift more cleanly.
