The Lake Michigan Gift Set is a little piece of Michigan in a box. It gathers our Lake Michigan scent, lavender and eucalyptus, into four favorites: a body butter, a small ceramic candle, wax melts and a lip balm. Everything is hand-packed on our Michigan farm in a gift box with tissue, a seal sticker and a gift note. The lake itself is just west of us, but it did not fit in the box.

The scent
Lake Michigan pairs lavender with eucalyptus for a scent that is fresh and herbal rather than sweet. It is part of our Great Lakes line, where each lake gets its own twist on lavender. Because every item in this set shares the same scent, it carries from the candle on the shelf to the balm in your pocket.
Using each piece
- Candle: on the first burn, let the wax melt to the edge of the vessel before putting it out. Trim the wick to about a quarter inch before each burn, keep it away from drafts and never leave it burning unattended.
- Wax melts: place a cube or two in a wax warmer and swap in fresh wax when the scent fades. Handy where an open flame is not ideal.
- Body butter: warm a small amount between your fingers and smooth it into dry spots, especially after washing.
- Lip balm: swipe on as needed. Keep it out of a hot car in summer so it stays firm.

Storing
Keep the candle and wax melts in a cool, dry place out of direct sun. Store the body butter and lip balm at room temperature with lids closed; butters soften in warmth and firm up in the cold, which is normal.
