Lavender Blueberry Body Butter: Rich, Fruity and Easy to Love

On this page
The Lavender Blueberry Body Butter is what we reach for when lotion feels too light. It is rich and creamy, it spreads easily, and it smells like ripe blueberries with soft floral lavender folded in. Handmade on our farm in Rockford, it is a little jar of blueberry country.
Quick answer: Massage a small amount onto skin after bathing. A little goes a long way, so one 7.5 oz jar lasts a good while.
Body butter or lotion?
| Body butter | Lotion | |
|---|---|---|
| Texture | Thick and rich | Lighter and quick to absorb |
| Best time | After a shower or before bed | Anytime, especially after handwashing |
| How much | A small scoop | A pump or squeeze |
Many people keep both: lotion by the sink for daytime and body butter by the tub for evenings. Blueberry comes in both, so the scents match.
Getting the most from each scoop
- Apply to damp skin. Right after a shower, pat dry and smooth it on while skin is still a little damp.
- Warm it first. Rub a small amount between your palms so it spreads evenly.
- Start small. You can always add more to dry elbows, knees and heels.
- Give it a minute. Let it settle before pulling on pajamas.
The scent
Juicy blueberry is the first thing you notice, cheerful and a little sweet. The lavender sits underneath, softening the fruit so it feels cozy rather than sugary. It is a scent that works in July and is maybe even better in February, when everyone could use a reminder that berry season comes back.
Storing it
Keep the lid on and store the jar away from heat and direct sun. Body butters can soften in a hot room and firm up again when it cools; that is normal. Use clean, dry fingers so water does not get into the jar.
Making it a gift
Pair it with the Lavender Blueberry Foaming Hand Soap for a berry-themed set, or build a custom box in the Gift Box Builder.
Frequently asked questions
Will it feel greasy?
Body butter is richer than lotion, so a small amount is the trick. Use too much and you will feel it; use a little and it settles in.
Can I use it on my hands during the day?
Yes, though many people prefer a lotion for daytime hands and save the butter for evenings and dry spots.
