Lavender Spiced Apple Ceramic Candle: Cider Mill Meets Lavender Field

On this page
If a Michigan cider mill and a lavender field ever teamed up, our Lavender Spiced Apple Ceramic Candle is what they would light on a chilly afternoon. Crisp apple and warm baking spices lead, and a soft lavender finish keeps it feeling fresh. Light it while the pie bakes, or light it instead of baking the pie. We will not tell.
Quick answer: A cozy, seasonal fall candle in a reusable ceramic vessel, in a 5.1 oz small and a 12 oz large. Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each burn. When it is out of season, use Notify Me on the product page.
Sweet orchard, soft finish
The first impression is orchard: bright, juicy apple with cinnamon-style spice. Then the lavender comes through at the end, which is what keeps this candle from feeling heavy. It is warm enough for a cold October night but fresh enough that you will still want it lit in December.
One for the kitchen, one for the couch
Two sizes make it easy to scent more than one room:
| Size | Where we would put it |
|---|---|
| Small, 5.1 oz | A side table by the couch, a reading corner or a powder room |
| Large, 12 oz | The kitchen or an open living space during fall gatherings |
See the product page for current sizes and availability.
Burning it in a busy kitchen
- Keep it well away from the stove, dish towels, recipe cards and paper bags.
- Set it on a heat-safe surface where elbows and kids are not reaching past it.
- Let the first burn melt to the edges so it burns evenly from then on.
- Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch each time, and never leave it burning in an empty room.
Layering the scent
The same Spiced Apple blend also comes as wax melts. A candle in the kitchen and a warmer by the front door makes the whole first floor smell like apple season without overpowering any one room. When the candle is finished, the ceramic vessel doubles as decor; freeze it briefly to release the leftover wax, wash it and fill it with pens, matches or a small plant.

Frequently asked questions
How is it different from Pumpkin Spice?
Spiced Apple is brighter and fruitier, with crisp orchard notes. Pumpkin Spice is rounder and more like a bakery. Both have a lavender finish.
Will it smell artificial or sugary?
It is sweet, but the lavender keeps the finish fresh rather than candy-like.
