We all need a Savior
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23
None of us can earn our way to God by being good enough. We all need mercy.
English Lavender — Lavandula angustifolia
This collection represents Lavandula angustifolia, commonly called English lavender. The species is the botanical group; Hidcote, Hidcote Blue, Hidcote Pink, Hidcote Superior, Huckleberry, and other named or mystery selections remain distinct plant identities.
English lavenders are generally known for compact growth, aromatic foliage, and fragrant flower spikes. Flower color, fragrance, culinary suitability, mature size, bloom time, and cold tolerance still vary by cultivar or selection.
Michigan growing note: Many English lavenders are among the more cold-tolerant lavenders, but excellent drainage remains essential. Always use the individual plant's stated zone and site guidance.

A seed of eternal hope
The Bible tells one clear story: we are separated from God by sin, Jesus Christ came to rescue us, and salvation is received by grace through faith in Him.
Step 1 of 5
1
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23
None of us can earn our way to God by being good enough. We all need mercy.
2
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
Sin brings death and separation—but God offers eternal life as a gift, not a wage we earn.
3
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8
Jesus did not wait for us to become worthy. He took our place on the cross and rose again.
4
If you confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9–10
Saving faith is more than knowing facts about Jesus—it is trusting Him and surrendering to Him as Lord.
5
“For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13
The invitation is open. You can turn to Jesus right where you are.
✦
Prayer does not save us—Jesus does. But you can speak honestly to Him: admit your sin, believe He died and rose again, ask for His forgiveness, and entrust your life to Him.
Jesus, I know that I have sinned and need You. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. Please forgive me, make me new, and be Lord of my life. I place my trust in You. Help me follow You. Amen.
If this message has given you hope, share the good news with someone. A kind word, a Bible, a prayer, an invitation, or your own testimony can plant a seed God may use.
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6
Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. See John 14:6.
