Lavender Ridge Farms is a North Texas lavender farm in the countryside outside Gainesville, near Oakridge. The family has been making lavender bath, body and home goods for about 15 years, and the farm pairs a gift shop with a small cafe that cooks with lavender.
The 2026 season opened on Friday, March 6, and runs through October, Friday to Sunday. The farm and gift shop keep 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours and the cafe serves from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Lavender in North Texas needs enough winter cold to flower, and after a mild winter with few chilling hours the farm announced it would have no lavender bloom in 2026, with a promise to post an update if spikes appear. Plan a visit around the cafe and shop rather than the fields until the farm reports blooms again.
The cafe menu has included lavender lemonade, lavender honey chicken salad and lavender cheesecake. The shop carries handmade soap, bath and body products, candles and melts, essential oils, gift sets and culinary lavender, tea and coffee, and the same products are sold online and at the farm's Frisco Mercantile store on Preston Road in Frisco, which is handy if you live in the Dallas area.
In 2026 it is open Friday to Sunday from March through October; the farm and shop 9 to 5 and the cafe 10:30 to 3:30.
