About Quiet Hills Lavender Farm

Quiet Hills Lavender Farm is Chris and Sheri Anthony's family farm on Hemlock Street in Palmerton, in Carbon County near the Lehigh Gap. What began as a hobby has grown into a business with thousands of lavender plants on about two acres of fields, set against wide hillside views where wild turkeys wander through. In 2025 readers of the local newspaper named it the area's tourist attraction of the year and its best gift shop.

Visiting is free. The farm generally keeps weekend hours, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 2 PM, and will also open by appointment if you call ahead. The biggest fields bloom from late June through July, and harvest follows in July, when some bunches hang upside down to dry. The farm grows a changing mix that may include Phenomenal, Sensational and Grosso lavandins and Munstead, Hidcote and Super Blue English lavender, and it is working to make any time from early June into September worth a visit.

The Lavender Shed is the farm's gift shop, stocked with dried lavender bunches, sachets and lavender goat's milk soap, plus home goods and holiday decor. The farm also lists a long menu of ice cream flavors, from lavender cheesecake to shoofly pie. Leashed dogs are welcome. The grounds are open but unpaved, and the shop is not wheelchair accessible, though staff will bring items outside. Picnic food is fine, but alcohol is not allowed.

Daisy Family Restaurant in Wind Gap is about 30 minutes east for a sit-down meal.
