No questions yet. Ask one and The Lavender Patch Farm can answer it here.
The Lavender Patch Farm near Fort Scott began with a single lavender plant in 2010. Owners Betsy and Davin Reichard have grown it to more than 1,000 plants, and Betsy makes most of what is sold in the shop, from lavender essential oil and lotion bars to culinary lavender and dried bouquets. Davin keeps things running behind the scenes.
The farm opens to visitors on Lavender Saturdays, every Saturday in June from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (2026). You can walk the rows, sit on the benches and tables among the plants, join one of the field tours offered through the morning and harvest your own lavender bundle for $10. A free make-and-take table lets kids and adults craft a lavender wand, a lavender bottle or a lavender basket ornament, and there are yard games on the lawn.
The gift shop opens on those Saturdays with the farm's handmade body, home, aromatherapy and gourmet products, and you can cool off with homemade lavender ice cream and fresh lavender lemonade.
After the June harvest the farm closes for the year; the 2026 harvest is complete. The online store stays open and ships anywhere in the U.S., and the farm also sells at off-site events listed on their website.
