Barnyard Hide & Seek

How to play

1. Hiders have 30 seconds. Walk up to something on the farm and tap 🎭 Become this. Next to more than one thing? Tap again to switch.
2. Find a good spot, then tap 🧊 Freeze to blend in. A hider who hasn't chosen by the end of the count freezes into the nearest thing.
3. Seekers count at the barn door with their eyes closed, then carry a lantern.
4. Seekers walk right up to anything that looks out of place, face it and tap 🔦 Check it.
5. Every 30 seconds, each hider makes a sound (a rustle, a clank, a buzz, a cluck or a baa). Listen!
6. A found hider joins the seekers.
7. The round ends when everyone is found (the seekers win) or the clock runs out (the hiders still hidden win).

Things to hide as

A hay bale, a round bale, a milk can, a bucket, a wheelbarrow, a clay jug, a beehive, a feed sack, a hen or a sheep. They are set out fresh each round around the farm buildings. Lavender stakes mark the edge of the play area.

Stamina

• A wrong check costs 15 stamina, so nobody can check everything.
• Below 15 stamina you must catch your breath before checking again.
• Finding a hider gives you back 25 stamina.
• A chalk ✓ marks things you already checked, for half a minute.

Ways to play

• Against the computer: choose 🙈 I'll hide or 🔦 I'll seek. Three computer players join you.
• With your party: the host taps 🌐 Invite my party. The round is on the host's farm, so guests must be there. The host picks who seeks first (me, a guest or the computer). With 7 or more players there are two seekers. The computer fills in if you're short of players.
• On a TV: phones are the controllers. The seeker plays on the big screen. Hiders get a private map on their phone so the TV doesn't give them away, and found hiders become spotters who can ping a spot on the TV.

Rewards

Good to know

• Rewards stop at 150 XP and 200 coins a day. After that you can keep playing for fun.
• Nothing in the game changes anyone's farm.
