Overview

The base value printed on a recipe is the starting price. Each way of selling then applies its own rules. Here is how the main ones compare.

Cultivar quality

Orders, phone sales, Trade Terminal buyers and Marketing sales use the product's cultivar quality: 0.82× at 1★, 1.00× at 3★, up to 1.28× at 5★. Market channels and the farm stand use the base value only.

Costs to remember

  • Market attendance fees (15 to 120 coins) and weekly stand, store and online costs.
  • Supplies used per unit (labels, jars, bottles and so on).
  • Card fee, sales tax and income-tax reserve on orders, Trade Terminal and phone sales.
  • Fuel and payroll.

Tips

  • A wholesale bid pays the most per unit, but missing its deadline costs 3 reputation.
  • Turn cheap inputs into high-value products: one essential oil (base 130) or one lip balm (54) from a single oil.
