Imperial Gem Lavender Seeds - Lavandula angustifolia

Want to start your own little lavender patch? We love helping fellow gardeners grow lavender, and Imperial Gem is a gorgeous place to start.

Imperial Gem is a compact English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) known for its silvery foliage and deep purple blooms. Growing lavender from seed takes patience: germination is slow and irregular, so some seeds may sprout in a couple of weeks while others take much longer. Cold stratification before sowing can be a helpful step, though results vary.

• Size: 25 seeds
• Tip: cold stratify seeds for a few weeks in a damp paper towel in the fridge before sowing
• Sow on the surface of a moist seed-starting mix; lavender seeds like light
• Keep warm and lightly moist, and be patient; sprouting can be slow and uneven
