Why this pairing works

Streusel adds texture, and making it with Lavender Sugar adds flavor where you'd least expect it. Maple adds a warm finish.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Rub the flour, Lavender Sugar and cold butter together with your fingertips until it forms pea-size crumbs. Chill while you make the batter.
  2. Prepare the muffin batter according to the package directions and fill the muffin cups.
  3. Top each muffin generously with streusel.
  4. Bake as directed, adding 2 to 3 minutes if needed, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Drizzle with maple syrup while warm.

Make it your own

  • Add a handful of fresh blueberries to the batter.
  • Make streusel extra and freeze it for your next batch.
