Why this pairing works
Warm fruit and cold, lightly sweet cream is a timeless combination. Honey and a drop of lavender extract make the cream taste like the farm.
Serves 2 Prep 10 min Cook 10 min
Ingredients
- 1 Lavender Small Pie (Cherry), Apple, Blueberry or Peach also work
- 1/2 cup heavy cream, cold
- 2 tsp Lavender Wildflower Honey
- 1 drop Lavender Extract
- Vanilla ice cream, optional, for true à la mode
Directions
- Warm the pie at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes, until the filling bubbles at the vents.
- Whip the cream, honey and lavender extract to soft peaks.
- Serve the warm pie with a scoop of ice cream and a big spoonful of cream.
Warm the pie in the oven, not the microwave, to keep the crust flaky. Honey isn't safe for babies under 1 year old.
Serve it with: Lavender Ground Coffee (Lavender Fields)
Make it your own
- Serve with a cup of Lavender Fields coffee.
- Peach pie with a sprinkle of Lavender Sugar on the cream is a July favorite.
