Maple Lavender Lake Day Granola Clusters
On this page
Big, crunchy clusters that survive a beach bag, a boat ride and a hike to the dunes. Maple, lavender sugar and tart Michigan dried cherries make them the snack everyone reaches for.

Why this pairing works
An egg white and a no-stir bake are the secrets to big clusters. Maple and lavender sugar caramelize together into a crisp coating, and a little lavender salt keeps it from tasting too sweet.
Makes about 6 cups Prep 10 min Cook 45 min
Ingredients
- 3 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup pecans or almonds, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/3 cup Lavender Maple Syrup
- 1/4 cup coconut or olive oil, melted
- 2 Tbsp Lavender Sugar
- Lavender Salt Grinder, about 1/2 tsp
- 1 egg white, whisked until frothy
- 3/4 cup dried tart cherries
Directions
- Heat the oven to 300°F and line a sheet pan with parchment.
- Stir the oats, nuts, seeds, maple syrup, oil, Lavender Sugar and Lavender Salt until everything is coated. Fold in the egg white.
- Press the mixture into a flat, even layer on the pan.
- Bake 40 to 45 minutes without stirring, rotating the pan halfway, until golden and dry to the touch.
- Cool completely on the pan, at least 30 minutes, then break into clusters and stir in the cherries.
Don't touch it while it cools. Granola crisps as it cools, and breaking it early gives you crumbs instead of clusters.
Make it your own
- Swap the cherries for dried blueberries.
- Sprinkle over yogurt with a drizzle of Lavender Maple Syrup.
