Purple Cow Lavender Grape Floats
On this page
A purple cow is an old-fashioned soda fountain treat: grape drink with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Our lavender grape version gets a fizzy splash and a rock candy stirrer, and it's a guaranteed hit at any kids' party.

Why this pairing works
Creamy vanilla softens the grape's tang, and bubbles make the ice cream foam into a frothy purple cap. Lavender adds a soft floral note that grape wears surprisingly well.

Ingredients
- 3 cups Lavender Grape Gourmet Drink Mix, prepared per package directions, well chilled
- 1 cup club soda or sparkling water, chilled
- 8 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 4 Lavender Rock Candy, for stirring
Directions
- Chill 4 tall glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes.
- Add 2 scoops of ice cream to each glass.
- Slowly pour 3/4 cup grape drink down the side of each glass, then top with 1/4 cup club soda.
- Add a rock candy stirrer and a long spoon. Serve right away.
Pour down the side of the glass, not onto the ice cream. It keeps the foam from bubbling over.
