Lavender Peach Honey Sticks: Soft, Juicy Peach for Summer Snacks
Save
On this page
Peach season is short, but our Lavender Peach Honey Sticks keep the flavor around all year. Each single-serve straw holds honey with a soft, juicy peach flavor, gentle and summery, like the first ripe peach of August eaten over the sink.
Quick answer: Snip the end and enjoy straight, or squeeze into iced tea and over yogurt, oatmeal or vanilla ice cream. Store at room temperature, and check the package for ingredients and allergen information.
The flavor
Peach is the softest of our fruit flavors: mellow, round and sweet rather than tangy. It is a good choice for people who find citrus too sharp, and it pairs especially well with cream, vanilla and tea.
Summer uses
| Idea | How |
|---|---|
| Peach iced tea | Stir a couple of sticks into freshly brewed tea while it is still warm, then chill |
| Peach ice pops | Sweeten a fruit or lemonade base and freeze; see Lavender Rainbow Ice Pops |
| Yogurt parfait | Layer yogurt, granola and fresh fruit, then drizzle |
| Over ice cream | A simple sundae topping for vanilla |
| Picnic snack | Pack a handful; no jar, spoon or sticky lid |
Tea time
Peach honey is lovely in green or white tea, and a nice change from lemon in black tea. For an afternoon spread, set out sticks next to scones and soft cheese, as in our Farm Stand Afternoon Tea Board.
Showers, weddings and favors
Peach is a sweet fit for summer weddings and baby or bridal showers. Tie two or three sticks together with ribbon and a tag at each place setting, or fill a jar with a mix of peach, lemon and clover for a sweet table. For a full gift, build a box in the Gift Box Builder. The combined listing below shows every flavor.
Storing
Store at room temperature in a dry spot, away from sun and heat. Natural crystallization can happen over time; warm the stick in a cup of warm water and the honey will turn smooth again.
Frequently asked questions
Is it tart?
No. Peach is mellow and sweet, the gentlest of the fruit flavors.
Are honey sticks okay for babies?
No. Honey should not be given to infants under 12 months old.
Can I use them in baking?
They are best for drizzling and stirring, but a few squeezed into a glaze for peach cobbler or scones adds a nice touch.
