Archibald Sisters has been selling personal care goods in Olympia for more than 47 years, from a shop on Capitol Way South downtown. It is a fun place to browse: shelves of lotions, body washes, perfume oils and colognes, with gifts for all ages mixed in.
The heart of the shop is its fragrance menu, a long alphabetical list of scents that runs from absinthe to ylang ylang. Perfume oil essences started at $4 and spray colognes at $18 on their website in 2026, and you can have a lotion scented to order. The house best seller is a blend called Oly Girl, named for the town. House lotions include jojoba, shea butter, vitamin and shimmering versions, along with body mist, shampoo, conditioner and a massage oil.
Posted hours are Sunday through Thursday 11 am to 5 pm and Friday and Saturday 11 am to 6 pm. If you find a scent you love, the shop also ships orders, with shipping Monday through Friday.
Evergreen Valley Lavender Farm lies southeast of town, roughly 15 minutes away, and opens its gift shop on summer weekends. Pick out a lavender-scented lotion or oil here, then compare it with the farm's own distilled oil.
