About Lyndoch Lavender Farm & Cafe

Lyndoch Lavender Farm sits on Tweedies Gully Road at Lyndoch in the Barossa Valley. The family-run farm describes itself as one of the largest lavender farms in South Australia and has been welcoming visitors for more than 30 years. Visitors come to wander through the lavender rows, take in the views over the surrounding hills and watch the local birdlife.

Entry is free, and the farm and shop are open every day. The café runs on a seasonal pattern: daily from September to December, the busiest stretch of the Southern Hemisphere spring and early summer, and on weekends only from January to August. Groups of more than ten are asked to book ahead, and guided group tours must be booked. In 2026 the farm also took part in SALA, South Australia's annual living artists festival, with an exhibition on site.

The café's Lavender Kitchen offers tastings alongside light meals. The shop has a large range of lavender goods: body care such as lotions, soaps, shampoo, balms and massage oils; home care including linen spray, candles and furniture cream; and a gourmet line of lavender jams, honey, chutney, vinegar, tea, mustards and lollies. There are gift boxes, a lavender cookbook and lavender pet shampoo too, and the range is also sold online and by mail order.

Because the farm and shop keep the same hours all year, it works as a flexible first or last stop on a Barossa day, whatever the season.
