About Maison de la Lavande Ardèche (Domaine Lavandaïs)

La Maison de la Lavande grows and distills lavender on the plateau above the Ardèche gorges at Saint-Remèze, about 15 minutes from Vallon-Pont-d'Arc. It combines working fields, a stillhouse, a museum and a botanical garden.

The guided visit starts with a ride on the little lavender train through the fields, then moves through immersion and scent rooms, the stillhouse with live distilling and the botanical garden. Visits run from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in spring and September, and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in July and August. Posted prices are €13 for adults, €8.50 for ages 8 to 14, and free under 8. The fields, the lavender barn and the shops are free to walk around.

Families can add a treasure hunt with eight mystery stops around the estate (€5) or a creative workshop making soap, bath salts, candles or massage oil (€28 to €35). There are two shops, a snack bar and an ice cream stand, and leashed dogs are welcome everywhere, including on the visit. Tickets also earn a discount at the nearby Grotte Saint-Marcel cave and the Château des Roure.

The 2026 season ran daily from April 3 to September 30, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the estate is now closed until it reopens in early April 2027.
