About Parco della Lavanda

Parco della Lavanda sits on the high Campotenese plateau in northern Calabria, about 2 km from the Campotenese exit of the A2 motorway. Its botanical garden holds dozens of English lavenders and lavandins side by side, and the farm distills its own oils, including the Loricanda line of body care. The bloom here runs late because of the altitude: roughly June 20 to August 20.

In 2026 the park was open every day from June 1 to August 31, 8:30 AM to 1 PM and 3:30 to 8 PM, for a €2 ticket, with children up to 14 free. Free guided tours of about 40 minutes leave three times each morning and three times each afternoon, and during the bloom you can watch the farm's normal harvest and processing work. Groups of more than 15 should book.

Children's workshops run on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and afternoons from mid-June to late August (€5 in 2026): kids either take a lavender cutting or make a scented lavender chalk. Rules are strict to protect the rows: no picking, no lying or jumping in the plants, and no food or picnics anywhere in the park or parking area. Professional and pre-wedding photo shoots pay a €25 fee.

The shop sells essential oils of true lavender and lavandin, hydrosol, creams, lip balm, an eau de parfum, home scents and lavender food items. Outside summer the farm keeps short weekday morning hours from late September through May.
