About Sage Creations Farm
Sage Creations Organic Farm is a small certified organic family farm in Palisade that has grown into a lavender and herb distillery on more than ten acres. Owner Paola Legarre wrote the book Lavender for All Seasons. The fields hold both true lavenders, prized for their sweet scent, and taller, camphor-scented lavandins that are best for dried bundles and sachets.
Peak bloom runs from mid-June through July, which is also U-pick season. In 2026 picking opened June 11, Wednesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; staff hand out baskets and scissors, walk-ins are accepted, and booking a U-pick package ahead is wise because times sell out. The farmstand keeps Thursday to Sunday hours in May, Thursday to Saturday in June and July, Friday and Saturday from August to mid-September, and opens by appointment the rest of the year.
The farm's Lavender Bloom Celebration took place June 26 to 28, 2026, with distillation demonstrations, sunset yoga in the field, a wreath-making class, a book signing, a craft tent, live music and a self-guided sensory tour. The same weekend the farm had a booth at the Colorado Lavender Association's festival at Riverbend Park in Palisade.
Products are distilled and made on the farm: balms, body oils, lotions, bath salts, mists, hydrosols, essential oils, culinary lavender, sachets, dried bundles and wreaths. In town, The Atrium at 223 Main Street is open Wednesday to Saturday most of the year and on Sunday mornings during the summer farmers market.
