About Southern Grace Lavender Farm
Southern Grace Lavender Farm is a family-run lavender farm in the Southport area north of Panama City, in Florida's Panhandle. Growing lavender this far south takes heat-tolerant plants, and the farm's own photos feature Spanish lavender such as Lavandula stoechas 'Anouk Deluxe'. The family says it grows without harmful chemicals.
The farm is open year-round on a short weekend schedule built around the heat: Fridays and Sundays 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday the farm is closed for upkeep and product making, with visits by appointment. During open hours you can stroll the lavender garden and browse the gift shop. Guided tours are booked by phone, and the farm also offers RV sites for overnight stays among the fields.
On Saturday mornings from 8 to 1, the farm sells at the Panama City Farmers' Market at 218 Harrison Avenue downtown. Its products, made on the farm, include essential oils, skincare, soaps, lotions, body scrubs, candles, pillow and linen sprays, sachets, dried bundles and culinary items like lavender honey and tea. The shop takes major credit cards, and the online store ships within the U.S.
Panama City Beach is about 30 minutes south for seafood and the Gulf.
