No questions yet. Ask one and The Lavender Apple can answer it here.
The Lavender Apple sits at the mouth of a canyon in Millville, on Cache Valley land that John and Hanna Nelson bought after immigrating from Sweden in the early 1900s. Later, Mike and Peggy Nelson planted lavender here after living in France, and the business has run since 2009. In 2021 the Downs family took over, the first owners from outside the Nelson family. Today there are more than 2,000 lavender plants in two fields and an orchard of over 80 apple trees, many of them vintage varieties.
July is the month to come. The farm's Lavender Festival and artisan market filled July 11 and 12 in 2025 and July 10 and 11 in 2026, out in the lavender field. Early summer 2026 also brought sunset yoga between the lavender rows from mid-June into early July, a lavender date night with sunset viewing and lavender lemonade, and a morning woodland day camp for kids ages 7 to 11. Yoga and the date night needed sign-up in advance.
The farm makes its own bath and body products and a home line of sachets, comfort hearts, neck wraps, eye pillows, lavender water spray, massage oil and salves. The kitchen shelf holds culinary lavender, lavender-infused honey made with raw Cache Valley honey, and vintage apples infused with culinary lavender. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and photo sessions can be booked on the farm.
Millville is a few minutes south of Logan, so the farm fits easily into a day in Cache Valley.
