How it works
- The game keeps saving in your browser exactly as before. In the background, each change is copied to the farm server (checked about every 30 seconds, and when the page is hidden or closed).
- Signed in: your farm is tied to your store customer account and follows you across devices.
- Signed out: a play token on this device keeps a server copy. Signing in later moves that farm onto your account.
Which farm wins
When two copies meet (for example, opening the game on a new device), the farm that is further along in game time wins. Before a local farm is ever replaced, it is sent to the server first, so it is kept as a recoverable snapshot. The game then reloads once with the winning farm.
Tips
- Nothing about syncing can stall play: if the connection fails, your local game carries on untouched.
- For an extra copy you control, also use Save a backup.
