Overview
Dianthus are low, dense mounds that all start flowering in June, in pinks, reds and whites. They take sun or part shade and are hardy to zone 4.
The catalog's advice for growing them with lavender: "It shares lavender's love of sun and lean, well-drained soil, and its soft pink and white flowers edge a lavender planting beautifully in early summer."

Tips
- Most of these belong in the ☀️ sun border, next to the lavender. In the shade garden a plant that also takes part shade tops out at 88% health, and a sun-only plant loses 7 health a week and will not flower.
- Deadhead repeat and long bloomers while they are in flower for more bloom weeks and more bouquet stems.
