Overview
This walk-through makes Lavender Sachets, a level 2 craft. The numbers come straight from the game. Your own amounts change with your cultivar, plant health and tools.
From field to finished shelf
- Harvest. In the Lavender Field, harvest a ready plot and choose Drying stems (+8 XP). The stems land in raw inventory.
- Hang the bundles. Open Production → Processing Barn → Drying barn & distillery and tap Hang. Every 14 stems make one bundle, and one rack holds 5 bundles (70 stems). You start with 2 racks.
- Wait for them to dry. Bundles take about 10 days on the farm clock, longer in humid weather (up to about 13.5 days above 75% humidity), shorter with fans. Advance Week jumps the clock ahead to the next farm week.
- Send them to the debudder. When a rack says Dry, tap Send to debudder. Then tap Debud. By hand, you rub about 6 bundles an hour.
- Collect the buds. Debudding gives about 35% of the stem units as buds: 5 bundles (70 stems) come out as about 24 buds.
- Buy the station and supplies. Buy the Craft Table (175 coins) in Facilities. Each sachet uses 1 fabric & ribbon and 1 label, so buy a pack of fabric (12 for 22 coins) if you need it.
- Make the sachets. With 24 buds and a 3★ lot, each sachet needs 8 buds. Batch sizes only appear when you can fill them, so with 24 buds make three 1-unit batches (6 setup XP each).
- Advance the week. Sachets take 1 week. After Advance Week they sit on the finished shelf.
- Sell. Take them to market from Business → Market. At a Farmers market each sachet sells for its 22-coin base value, raised a little by your reputation.
A faster first product
If you just want something to sell, harvest Fresh stems and make a Fresh Lavender Bundle at the free Harvest Table: 12 stems, 0 weeks, base value 18 coins. Or take a dry rack down with Take down to sell, which puts dried bundles straight on the finished shelf.
A distilling example
Harvest a Distillation crop. Once you own the 20 L copper alembic (850 coins in Enterprise Operations), load 40 fresh flower units and fire it. About 1.5 hours later on the farm clock you get 1 essential oil and 1 hydrosol. One essential oil can then become a Lavender Lip Balm (base value 54) at the Product Studio.
Tips
- Better cultivars need fewer buds per sachet and sell for more (see Quality grades).
- Keep one fan for every two racks in use, or gray mold can spoil part of each rack.
