How Recipes Work

A recipe turns a set amount of one input into one finished product at a station you own. You choose a batch size, the game takes the input and supplies, and each unit finishes in the queue after its listed weeks.

Overview

Every product in the barn is a recipe with five numbers: the station it needs, the input it uses (stems, buds, flowers, culinary lavender, hydrosol, an oil, another product or 'mixed' finished goods), how much input one unit needs, how many weeks it takes, and its base value in coins. A recipe also has a level you must reach first.

This article explains the rules. The full list of products lives in the recipe section of this wiki.

When the Make button lights up

  • You own the station (otherwise the button says Need Craft Table, Need Product Studio and so on).
  • Your farm level is high enough (otherwise it says Level 5, for example).
  • You have enough input (otherwise it says Need and the number you are short).
  • For food: your culinary lavender comes from a lot rated 3★ or better (otherwise it says Need 3★ culinary lot).

Making a batch

  1. Tap Make on a recipe card.
  2. A window shows the crop per unit, the expected cultivar quality in stars and the supplies per unit.
  3. Pick a batch size. Only sizes you have enough input for are offered: 1, 5 or 10 units (25 units from farm Level 50, and 50 units from Level 90). A size marked 'supplies needed' will not start until you buy supplies.
  4. The game takes the input and the supplies, adds one queue entry per unit and gives setup XP: 4 + 2 per unit, up to 12 (so 6 XP for 1 unit, 12 XP for 5 or 10).
  5. Press Advance Week. Each unit counts down its weeks and lands on the finished shelf when done.

Cultivar-adjusted input

The amount of input is not always the number printed in the data. It is cultivar-adjusted: lavender with better star ratings for that product needs less. The card then shows, for example, '6 bud · cultivar-adjusted from 8'.

For a sachet (rated on Bundles), a 3★ lot needs the full 8 buds, while a 5★ lot needs only about 6. A 1★ lot needs about 12.

Where the input comes from

Input is taken from raw inventory first, then from the finished shelf if the input is itself a product (for example essential oil or sachets). A mixed input takes any finished products, in order, until the amount is met.

Tips

  • Supplies are counted per unit: a 10-unit batch of sachets needs 10 fabric & ribbon and 10 labels.
  • The Processing Barn recipe list has a search box and category buttons, which help once you own several stations.
  • In 3D, the processing table in the barn offers Make buttons for up to three recipes that are ready.
