Overview
Cottage food is meant to be sold directly to people, so the kitchen checks where your state lets you sell. Selling at your farm stand and at markets is always allowed. Stores and cafés (the bakery) need a state that allows it, or a Licensed Kitchen.
Where and how much
| Place | Most per farm day | Price | Rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Farm Stand bakery case | 6 | Full value | Always allowed |
| Saturday market (our lavender stall) | 8 | Full value | Always allowed |
| Your food truck in Market Square | 14 | 115% of value | Always allowed |
| Market Square bakery | 12 | 70% of value (wholesale) | Only if your state allows stores, or with a Licensed Kitchen |
Once a day
Each place buys once per farm day. You earn 1 XP for every 2 items sold, rounded up.
Selling in 2D
Kitchen foods that are also Processing Barn products (such as Lavender Shortbread, Lavender Honey or Lavender Lemonade) are on the same finished shelf, so the Market's sales channels and customer orders can sell them too.
Tips
- Neighbors in Market Square sometimes ask for a kitchen food by name. Bring it to them for coins and XP.
- The walk-in cooler and cooling trays in the Licensed Kitchen tell you what foods you have on hand.
