Overview

These systems reward variety in your own hands-on work. Every manual activity counts as one of seven kinds of work: field, maker, learning, host, community, business or steward. Work done by staff or automation doesn't count. There are no login streaks and no penalties for taking a break.

Mentored practice (below level 8)

  • The first time each farm day you do a kind of work, you get a bonus of twice that activity's XP (between 8 and 16 XP).
  • Once you've tried five different kinds of work, you get First-season foundations: +75 XP (once).

Specialty mastery (level 12)

  • Pick one as your active focus; you can switch without losing progress.
  • Once a farm week, matching work gives a mastery credit and +10 XP, plus 2 XP per rank (rank 1 at 4 credits, rank 2 at 12, rank 3 at 24).
