Timeless Treasure is a flower-focused coral bells. Small pewter leaves with dark veins form a compact clump, and in summer the plant is covered with large rosy pink flowers on mahogany stems, sending up new flushes again and again.
It grows 8 to 10 inches tall and 14 to 16 inches wide, with flower stems of 16 to 20 inches. The silver foliage and heavy bloom make it a good choice for edging, containers and cutting.
What it looks like
A compact, dense clump 8 to 10 inches tall and 14 to 16 inches wide of small, rounded pewter gray leaves with dark veins. Mahogany stems 16 to 20 inches tall carry many spikes of relatively large rosy pink bells, so thick that they nearly hide the foliage at peak. At peak bloom the plant is a small silver mound under a dense rose pink flower crown.
Growing it with lavender
The pewter leaves echo lavender's gray foliage and the rosy flowers extend color in front of a lavender bed with some afternoon shade and extra water.
Care
Grows in full sun to full shade; afternoon shade helps in hot areas. Plant in average to fertile, well-drained soil and water regularly; hardy in zones 4-9. Deadhead spent stems to encourage continued rebloom.
