Why this pairing works
Streusel adds texture, and making it with Lavender Sugar adds flavor where you'd least expect it. Maple adds a warm finish.

Ingredients
- 1 bag Lavender Muffin Mix (Blueberry), plus the ingredients listed on the package
- 1/3 cup flour, for the streusel
- 1/4 cup Lavender Sugar, for the streusel
- 3 Tbsp cold butter, cubed, for the streusel
- 2 Tbsp Lavender Maple Syrup, for drizzling
Directions
- Rub the flour, Lavender Sugar and cold butter together with your fingertips until it forms pea-size crumbs. Chill while you make the batter.
- Prepare the muffin batter according to the package directions and fill the muffin cups.
- Top each muffin generously with streusel.
- Bake as directed, adding 2 to 3 minutes if needed, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Drizzle with maple syrup while warm.
Cold butter makes crunchy streusel. Warm butter makes paste. Keep it in the fridge until the batter is ready.
Make it your own
- Add a handful of fresh blueberries to the batter.
- Make streusel extra and freeze it for your next batch.
