Why this pairing works
Cold brewing pulls out coffee's smooth, chocolatey side and leaves harsh bitterness behind, which lets the lavender and honey notes shine.
Serves 4 Prep 10 min + overnight Cook 0 min
Ingredients
- 1 cup Lavender Ground Coffee (Honey), coarse or regular grind
- 4 cups cold water
- 4 Tbsp Lavender Simple Syrup (Classic), 1 Tbsp per drink
- 2 cups milk, 1/2 cup per drink
- 1/4 cup heavy cream, for the foam
- 2 Tbsp milk, for the foam
- 2 tsp Lavender Wildflower Honey, for the foam
Directions
- Stir the coffee and cold water together in a large jar. Cover and refrigerate 12 to 18 hours.
- Strain through a fine sieve lined with a paper coffee filter. The concentrate keeps up to 1 week in the fridge.
- For each drink, fill a glass with ice and add 1 Tbsp simple syrup, 1/2 cup cold brew and 1/2 cup milk.
- Froth the cream, milk and honey with a handheld frother until thick and pourable, about 20 seconds. Spoon over the latte.
Freeze leftover cold brew in ice cube trays. Coffee ice cubes keep your latte strong to the last sip. Honey isn't safe for babies under 1 year old.
Make it your own
- Try Vanilla or Hazelnut Lavender coffee.
- Use Blueberry Lavender Simple Syrup for a summery twist.
