Why this pairing works

A simple glaze flavored with lavender extract matches the cookie, while crushed rock candy adds crunch and a jewel-like sparkle kids love.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the dough according to the package directions. Chill 30 minutes, roll 1/4 inch thick and cut shapes.
  2. Bake as directed and cool completely.
  3. Whisk the powdered sugar, milk and lavender extract into a smooth glaze. Add milk a few drops at a time until it flows slowly off a spoon.
  4. Put the rock candy in a zip-top bag and tap it with a rolling pin into small crystals.
  5. Set out the glaze, rock candy crystals and Lavender Sugar and let everyone decorate.

Serve it with: Lavender Honey Sticks (Cinnamon)
