About 23rd Street Brewery

23rd Street Brewery is a locally owned brewpub on Clinton Parkway in west Lawrence, not far from Clinton Lake, and it has been open since 2006. Its 15-barrel brewhouse sits in view of the dining room, and head brewer Angelo Ruiz keeps about ten house beers on tap. A craft cocktail list rounds out the bar.

The scratch kitchen serves traditional American food from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, with the bar open until 11 p.m. The menu changes with the seasons and includes burgers, flatbreads and sliders. Weekly nights give regulars a reason to come back: steak night on Tuesdays, burger night on Wednesdays, trivia on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m., and a three-course Sunday supper.

The big dining room, high-top tables around the bar and more than 30 TVs make it a common place to watch a game, and the brewery calls its patio the best in town. Reservations, carryout and curbside pickup are all offered.

Somerset Lavender on the western edge of Topeka is roughly 35 minutes west via K-10 and I-70. If you are combining the two, visit the farm first, eat here afterward, and plan a designated driver if anyone is tasting beer.
