The mountain itself has about 2,900 skiable acres and 92 trails, so this is a natural lunch or après-ski stop between runs or after the lifts close.

The menu is comfort food: meatloaf, burgers, salads and appetizers such as ahi poke and carnitas cigars, along with warm and classic cocktails like a hot white Russian. Reservations are recommended. In winter the kitchen also delivers to Selkirk Lodge from 4 to 7:30 pm, paid by card over the phone or by room charge, with no beverages on delivery orders.

Lavender is a summer crop and the grill is a winter one, so the two rarely share a day. Lynn's Lavender is in Sagle, about 40 minutes from the village by the mountain road and US-95; save it for a summer trip and come back to Schweitzer for the snow.
