About Domaine Les Grandes Marges
Domaine Les Grandes Marges sits at about 560 meters on the Valensole plateau, 6 kilometers from Valensole on the road to Manosque. Françoise Jaubert and her son Alex run it, the fourth generation of the family on the land. Everything is certified organic: lavender, lavandin, immortelle and clary sage for oils, olives of the local Jauberte variety, almonds, and grapes for wine.
Seasons here follow the crops. Almond trees flower in March, sage in June, and the lavender blooms in June and July before it is cut. The olive harvest runs from late October into early November, with the family picking by day and pressing the same evening. You can walk the estate on your own or ask for a guided walk, and groups are welcome.
The shop is open all year, Monday to Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to noon and 2 to 6 p.m., and closed Sundays. It sells the estate's fine lavender, immortelle and lavandin oils, lavender hydrosol, olive oil and tapenade, almond cream, nougat and pralines, and its wines. In 2026 their olive oils won medals at several competitions, including the Concours général agricole in Paris. Artisanal treats are served on the terrace, picnics are allowed, and parking is free. Relaxation massages with the estate's oils are given in a space among the olive trees, booked by phone.
The estate sits on the drive between Manosque and Valensole, so it is a natural stop on the way up to the plateau fields.
