About Lavandes Angelvin
Lavandes Angelvin is a family lavender farm at Campagne Neuve, on the Valensole plateau southwest of the village. The Angelvin family grows lavender on the plateau and distills it with what they call the traditional method, which they say keeps the essential oil at a higher quality.
Individual visitors meet the growers in the farm shop. When the distillery is running during the harvest, you can walk in and watch on your own, any day except Sunday. The harvest dates move each year, and for 2026 the family has posted that harvest, distilling and individual visits are over, so the next chance to see the still running is summer 2027. Groups of 15 or more can book a guided visit year-round, with a talk on growing, harvesting and distilling and a 15-minute film.
The shop opens almost all year. In July it opens every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and in spring, fall and winter it keeps weekday and Saturday hours with a lunch break. It carries the farm's essential oils along with soaps, lavender sachets, lavender water, pillow mists, floral water, diffusers, food items and gift sets.
Valensole village is a few minutes away, and the plateau roads around the farm pass field after field of lavender, at their fullest in the weeks just before harvest.
