About Happy Valley Lavender Farm

Happy Valley Lavender Farm is a 20-acre farm in the State College area run by Jaime and Donna, who describe it as the realization of a lifelong dream to grow something both beautiful and useful. Donna's background is in education and Jaime's is in the medical field. They farm without chemicals, and their photos trace the place from planting its first two fields to second-year plants in full bloom and the 2025 harvest.

What sets the farm apart is its copper still. The lavender is distilled on site into essential oil and hydrosol, the fragrant water left over from distilling, which the farm suggests misting on towels and sheets or using as an air freshener. Those two goods anchor a small line of wellness products, and the farm also supplies retailers that carry fresh and natural products.

This is not a farm with daily hours. Visitors get one chance a year at the open house, which in 2026 was Saturday, June 27, from 10 AM to 4 PM, with the copper still on display. Admission was $5 per person, children under 10 got in free, and no advance tickets were needed. The rest of the year, you can order from the shop on their website and arrange local porch pickup to skip shipping; the farm asks you to email or text before placing a pickup order.

Watch their website in spring for the next open house date.
