About Indian Creek Campground
Indian Creek Campground is a small, family-run campground on the Cherokee Indian Reservation at the southern edge of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Its 74 sites sit on 88 acres between three mountaintops along Bunches Creek, a fast-running stream that the tribe's Fisheries and Wildlife Management Program stocks with trout.
Sites range from primitive tent spots to creekside premium sites, water and electric sites, and full-hookup RV sites with water, 30-amp electric, sewer and cable; there are cabins too. In 2026, nightly rates for two people start at $34 for a primitive site, $46 for water and/or electric, $53 for creekside premium sites and $60 for full hookups, with $3 per child aged 4 to 17 and $5 per extra adult. Stay seven nights at a campsite and the seventh is free.
Kids can play in the creek and on the playground, and the campground has hot showers, laundry, a camp store, a dump station, Wi-Fi hot spots and scheduled activities; there is no pool. The office suggests day trips to park trails, the Cherokee Indian Museum, the living village and the seasonal outdoor drama Unto These Hills in Cherokee, tubing and the scenic railroad in Bryson City, and gem mining in Franklin.
Ochre Hill Farms near Sylva is about 35 minutes south and east by mountain roads, so a summer morning among the lavender and blueberries fits between days in the park.
