About La Caille

La Caille is a French restaurant set on a roughly 20-acre estate at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon in Sandy, and it has been hosting diners and celebrations since 1975. The grounds take in manicured gardens, courtyards and a working vineyard, and part of what lands on the dinner plate is grown right on the property or sourced locally.

Dinner is served Wednesday through Saturday evenings, and Sunday brunch runs from late morning into early afternoon. Les Secrets, the estate's bar, keeps the same evening hours, welcomes walk-ins and pours craft cocktails, and there is also a garden bar. Ask for Château La Caille wine with dinner; it is only sold here, at the restaurant and the on-site wine shop.

The winery makes estate wines from its own grapes, including the 2023 Enchanté white, the 2024 Rosé blended from vineyard grapes and the 2021 Ink red, alongside wines made from California and Washington fruit. Wine and cheese pairings pour five Château La Caille wines with artisan cheeses; they require reservations and are for guests 21 and older. The estate also hosts weddings, private dinners, proposals and photo sessions, and holds a murder mystery dinner for adults on Halloween weekend.

Blue Canyon Farm's lavender fields in Heber City are about 50 minutes east over the mountains, so a summer afternoon there pairs well with an evening dinner here on the way back into the valley.
