About La Grange Lavender Co.

La Grange Lavender Co. covers 20 acres near Eureka Springs that Matt and Kat Nickle bought in April 2021, when it was mostly pasture with a barn dating to 1940. After a year of preparing the soil they planted their first 700 lavender plants; now there are more than 900, including Royal Velvet and Munstead English lavender and the lavandins Grosso, Phenomenal, Sensational and Edelweiss, plus loofah and chamomile. In 2023 they built a café and renovated the old barn into an event space.

In the Ozarks the lavender blooms in June, and the mix of varieties stretches the bloom out. The farm keeps hours well into fall: Wednesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday noon to 4 p.m., with the last day of the 2026 season on October 24. The café serves lavender lemonade and fresh-baked treats.

Friday afternoons bring happy hours with local musicians from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.; the October 2026 lineup included Tammy Fox and the Hound, Ginny Poe and Carolina Mendoza. On October 19, 2026, the farm held its first farm-to-table dinner, $75 per person, with a tour of a nearby farm and a chef-cooked meal. Yoga classes are set to return in fall, and the barn hosts weddings, elopements and private events. The shop sells essential oil, eye pillows, bath salts, body bars, sachets, bundles and culinary buds made on the farm.
