Levanduľová farma pod Veľkým vrchom is a small family farm in the village of Veľké Kršteňany, away from the cities and main roads. The family has grown lavender, flowers and herbs since 2019 and makes its own organic products by hand. In 2024 they planted a self-pick field of about 12,000 seedlings of true lavender and Grosso lavandin.
The self-pick field opens in early summer: on June 14 in 2025 and on June 6 in 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., closing in bad weather. Along with picking, the season brings yoga, a bouquet and wreath workshop, photography in the rows and demonstrations of herbs and edible flowers. From June 12 to August 16, 2026, the farm offered a romantic sunset picnic in the lavender from 8 to 10 p.m., with a basket of treats, at €60 for two and €15 per extra person, booked ahead.
The farm's café, Kaviareň Levanduľový raj, serves coffee, homemade cakes, French-style pastries and lavender drinks, with lemonade in the afternoon and wine from a local vineyard in the evening. The shop sells herbs, certified natural cosmetics made from medicinal herbs, food products and edible flowers for salads and decorating cakes.
